The #4-ranked Grand Valley State Football team took to the road for the first time during the 2024 season as they flew out west to Pueblo, Colorado to battle the #22-ranked Colorado State-Pueblo ThunderWolves in a battle of early season unbeatens inside the ThunderBowl.
After jumping out to an 17-0 halftime lead, the Lakers had to hold on in the waning moments paired with overcoming penalty issues throughout the entire second half to claim a hard-earned 24-21 victory to improve to 2-0 on the young season.

This Saturday night, the Lakers return to the bright lights of Lubbers Stadium to take on a Division III power in the unbeaten Eagles of Wisconsin-La Crosse at 7 pm.
