The Grand Valley State Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams embarked on the opening weekend of GLIAC play this past weekend as they both made the trips to the east side of the state to take on the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals and Wayne State Warriors.
When the games were completed, it would be the Lakers who would finish the weekend at a perfect 4-0 to start off their respective conference slates at 2-0 apiece.
