The 2024-25 Grand Valley State Men’s and Women’s Basketball seasons are just around the corner, and expectations are high for both teams this upcoming season.
The GVSU Women are coming off three straight 31-3 seasons that includes three straight GLIAC Regular Season Championships, two consecutive GLIAC Postseason Titles, and a Division II National Semifinals appearance (2022).
In regards to the GLIAC Preseason Coaches Poll, the Laker Women are picked to win the conference once again:

The GVSU Men have been voted to finish in the Top Four of the GLIAC according to the coaches in the conference as they look to build off of last season’s push to the GLIAC Tournament Championship Game, where they fell one half short of locking up a spot in the Division II NCAA Tournament.

The #3-ranked GVSU Women open the regular season this weekend out in Billings, Montana in the D2CCA Tipoff Classic at the Trailhead against the Findlay Oilers (Friday at 11 am), #6-ranked Montana State Billings Yellowjackets (Saturday at 3 pm), and #8-ranked Union Lady Bulldogs (Sunday at 11 am).
The GVSU Men’s regular season begins with a pair of home contests on Friday, November 8th against the Walsh Cavaliers at 2 pm and Sunday, November 10th against the Ashland Eagles at 1 pm.
